Deaf charity 'appalled' as councils cut school funds

Almost a fifth of councils have cut education services for deaf children, according to the National Deaf Children’s Society.

Almost one in five councils have cut education services for deaf children, according to a new survey by the National Deaf Children's Society.

Research by the charity revealed that 28 councils in England had already made cuts to education services for deaf children, and a further 24 local authorities were at high risk of reducing services.
