I had the pleasure of saying a few words of support for a fine institution in Kendal the other day. It was celebrating 20 years as a community hub for a significant number of charitable organisations in the area.

At that time, the imperative for the council would have been to get as much money as possible and be rid of a substantial liability, but a property crash meant a re-think and three years later the community hub was born.
