Wales’ local government secretary Mark Drakeford has promised there will be no forced mergers of local authorities after months of wrangling.

Wales' local government secretary Mark Drakeford has promised there will be no forced mergers of local authorities after months of wrangling.

The Labour-controlled Welsh Government had been considering reducing the number of local authorities in Wales from 22 to eight or nine.
