After a year like no other, come elections like no other. As the local (deputy) returning officer in Great Yarmouth, I have worked closely with the elections team, environmental services and other colleagues to ensure we have in place robust risk mitigation measures for the operation of our polling stations and counts, while maintaining an open and transparent elections process.

We have asked all staff involved in the election, whether at the polling stations or counts, to take a rapid flow test shortly in advance and ensure they are negative.
