Local authorities have been urged to scour their records for details of eligible looked-after children who might have missed out on the Government's Child Trust Fund (CTF).

The Revenue and Customs department (HMRC) this month published guidance for all local authorities, designed to ensure that no child falls through the CTF net, after some councils and carers raised concerns that eligible looked-after children had been overlooked, particularly when they moved between authorities.
