Discussions between leaders at Braintree District Council and Colchester Borough Council over a new shared chief executive and senior management team have been 'positive', it has been revealed.

In a joint statement Cllr Anne Turrell, leader of Colchester Borough Council ,and Cllr Graham Butland, leader of Braintree District Council said:'Discussions between both Councils have been positive and productive', but admitted that there are no current plans for a joint chief executive or shared management set-up.
