Suffolk CC's leader-elect has told The MJ he will review the county's controversial New Strategic Direction (NSD), and attempt to improve staff morale, following a turbulent period at the authority.

Cllr Mark Bee, currently the Conservative leader of Waveney DC, also called for a period of calm reflection on Suffolk's future amid intensifying concern over the county's organisational culture.
