Children's services directors have accused fostering agencies of ‘direct profiteering' from the humanitarian crisis over unaccompanied asylum seekers.
In a damning submission to the Education Committee's inquiry into fostering, the Association of Directors of Children's Services (ADCS) criticised unnamed fostering agencies for price hikes during the influx of unaccompanied children arriving in the UK following the closure of the controversial ‘jungle' camp in Calais, France.
