The funding gap for district councils

There is an emerging view that district capacity to meet the funding gap will fall between the 'haves' and the 'have nots' says Allen Graham.

The debate regarding a mounting funding gap for district councils continues to grow in size and frequency.

There is an emerging view that district capacity to meet this gap will fall between the 'haves' – being those councils which have grown their resource, asset base and income streams, and the ‘have nots' – those unable to accumulate the same resilience due to a number of valid circumstances.
