The starting gun has been fired on the local elections, with 21 County Councils' Network (CCN) members going to the polls on 1 May.

Whatever the outcome, as a strong cross-party organisation, we will be supporting new and old councillors through what is going to be a momentous four years for local government – full of continuing challenges and opportunities.
