Staff at Birmingham City Council will be balloted on potential strike action over equal pay, amid union claims that the commissioner-led authority has delayed settlements.

The GMB trade union will begin a month-long ballot on 12 December with more than 3,000 workers expected to be consulted over potential strikes next year.
