The Home Office has praised a report that criticised public bodies' failure to thwart the radicalisation of vulnerable youngsters before they turned to terrorism.

Whitehall officials accepted criticisms of the cross-departmental Prevent strategy – aimed at stopping people from being drawn into terrorism – that were contained in a recent serious case review (SCR) by Brighton and Hove's local safeguarding children's board.
