The Government has today set out a series of commitments aimed at ‘overhauling' local authority audits.

The Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) unveiled 16 commitments including increasing capacity to avoid reliance on a small number of auditors and simplifying financial reporting requirements.
