Home Office cuts UASC incentive payments

The Government has reinstated an incentive scheme for councils accepting the transfer of Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) but cut the rates on offer.

The Government has reinstated an incentive scheme for councils accepting the transfer of Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) but cut the rates on offer.

In February The MJ revealed the Government had last year ended the incentive payments, with the Home Office failing to provide an explanation for what future support would be offered.
