NHS health and wellbeing boards require strengthened powers of governance over GP Consortia arrangements, according to a report by health charity The King's Fund.

Accountability in the NHS: Implications of the government's health reform programme, concludes that under provisions contained in the Health and Social Care Bill, such boards would have limited powers to hold GP consortia, with control of £60bn health funding, to account.
