'Second homes tax' funds will benefit county's vulnerable

Derbyshire CC has agreed to allocate 75% of income raised through its ‘second homes tax’ to vulnerable people in four areas of the county.

Derbyshire CC has agreed to allocate 75% of income raised through its ‘second homes tax' to vulnerable people in four areas of the county.

Since 2004, people with second homes in the county have been required to pay 90% of council tax on the property.
