Jo Miller, current Local Government Association deputy chief executive, has been announced as the likely new chief of Doncaster MBC.

The appointment of Ms Miller, a popular figure in the corridors of Smith Square, has been endorsed by communities secretary Eric Pickles, and her new position is likely to be ratified at a full council meeting in the coming weeks. She had previously served as Doncaster's interim chief executive in 2010.
