Kent CC is due back in court today to explain how it will deal with unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASC) after recent arrangements were ruled unlawful.

Kent CC is due back in court today to explain how it will deal with unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASC) after recent arrangements were ruled unlawful.

The MJ understands that Kent CC and the Home Office will update the High Court on their plans after last month's ruling, which found the Kent Protocol – under which the number of children housed by Kent above its National Transfer Scheme (NTS) quota was capped – was deemed illegal.
