Audit giant KPMG has quit its role as adviser to the Grenfell Tower inquiry after concerns were raised over a potential conflict of interest.

Audit giant KPMG has quit its role as adviser to the Grenfell Tower inquiry after concerns were raised over a potential conflict of interest.

The accountancy firm is auditor to Kensington and Chelsea RLBC, the council at the centre of the inquiry, but the company also audits three of the firms that will be scrutinised during the inquiry into the tower block fire in which 71 people died on 14 June.
