A Labour government would close a loophole allowing property developers to ‘dodge their obligations' to build more affordable homes, a senior shadow minister has said.

John Healey, Labour's shadow housing minister, believes the current Section 106 loophole allowing property developers to haggle with local authorities over the number of social homes they build should be removed.
