The chairman of an influential child abuse survivors group has accused Lambeth LBC of a U-turn over the £60m redress scheme designed to compensate local victims.
In a letter seen by The MJ, Raymond Stephenson, of the Shirley Oaks Survivors' Association, (SOSA) accuses Lambeth leader, Cllr Lib Peck, of ‘back-tracking on assurances' to victims of historical abuse by staff at care homes in the south London borough.
