'Lessons learned' after overspends

Staff at Merthyr Tydfil CBC have assured members lessons have been learned after the cost of two major projects spiralled and overspends reached £500,000.

Staff at Merthyr Tydfil CBC have assured members lessons have been learned after the cost of two major projects spiralled and overspends reached £500,000.

A report issued by the Welsh authority revealed that the cost of work to rebuild the local Brandy Bridge reached £810,000 – some £313,000 more than anticipated.
