Council leaders have launched a new data service aimed at collating residents' views on local services, under plans to improve town hall decision-making.

The Local Government Association has linked up with pollsters Ipsos Mori to develop a set of questions and guidance councils can use to regularly collect and compare 'resident satisfaction' data.
