Chancellor George Osborne must make it easier for councils and their partners to break ground on growth-promoting building projects if he is to tackle Britain's £200bn infrastructure ‘deficit', Smith Square warns today.

The Local Government Association has called on Mr Osborne to act quickly to restore momentum to Britain's ailing regeneration programmes when he announces his Budget on 21 March.
