Smith Square this week outlined its proposals for a localised business rate, as part of a coalition consultation.

In two documents published on 3 May, the Local Government Association (LGA) expresses its preference for a system of localised business rates which is at least partially redistributive, so that no council is unfairly penalised and local service needs continue to be met.
