LGA vows to act over counties' concerns

Local Government Association (LGA) chairman, Lord Porter, has promised to act on Conservative county concerns about the way upper-tier interests are represented.

Local Government Association (LGA) chairman, Lord Porter, has promised to act on Conservative county concerns about the way upper-tier interests are represented.

A group of five counties – Essex, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Surrey and West Sussex – last week served notice on the LGA that they could leave from April 2018.
