Fuel poverty now affects one-in-five of households in London, according to a report by the capital's Assembly - which is calling for immediate action by energy firms.

In from the cold, a report by the London Assembly's health and public services committee published on 12 March, says that despite efforts by the city's mayor and national politicians throughout the downturn, the number of homes affected by fuel poverty has increased by 19% in just one year.
