Council-owned Manchester Airports Group (MAG) has outlined plans for Stansted Airport to expand to meet the South East's soaring demand for air traffic.

MAG, part-owned owned by 10 local authorities including Manchester City Council, pitched into the debate over which airports around London should be the focus of plans for new runways.
