Croydon LBC’s mayor has promised an ‘opening the books’ exercise after the borough revealed it must find bigger savings than expected due to rising costs.

Croydon LBC's mayor has promised an ‘opening the books' exercise after the borough revealed it must find bigger savings than expected due to rising costs.

Jason Perry will undertake a ‘deep dive' into the council's finances to identify further savings and risks to the borough's sustainability.
