Newcastle City Council's chief executive has told local spending watchdogs the authority's overdue corporate plan ‘needs refreshing'.

During a meeting of Newcastle's audit committee last week, Pam Smith said the corporate plan outlining the city's long-term strategy following a change of leader in 2022 had been ‘quite difficult' to compile.
