The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has called for it to be granted further powers to close ‘accountability gaps’.

The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has called for it to be granted further powers to close ‘accountability gaps'.

As part of a Triennial Review, the Ombudsman reported the number of cases handled has increased, dominated by Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), adult social care and homelessness services.
