Troubled care homes provider Southern Cross could be set for a management overhaul.

Troubled care homes provider Southern Cross could be set for a management overhaul in a bid to avert insolvency and change their financial fortunes.

Sector investment group NHP, Southern Cross's biggest landlord, has headhunted Dr Chai Patel, chairman of health turnaround firm Court Cavendish, to advise on a plan of action for the group's 249 homes.
