Local town centres should be run more like businesses if they are to help boost an economic revival across Britain, retail expert Mary Portas has reported.

After publishing her long-awaited – and widely leaked – High Street Review on 13 December, Ms Portas warned a major overhaul of local authority-led urban centres was much needed.
