Pressure group anticipating £2.6m cut to top-slice funds

The LGA is predicting another £2.6m cut to its top slice funding.

The Local Government Association is predicting another £2.6m cut to its top slice funding, following the announcement that government departments are likely to face a further 10% cut to their budgets.

Seven departments – including the Department of Communities and Local Government – have provisionally agreed to take another cut to their budgets in 2015/16, Chancellor George Osborne announced this week.
