A league table of the UK’s ‘happiest’ regions will be published annually under prime minister David Cameron’s plan to expand Whitehall measurements of wellbeing beyond economic benchmarks.

A league table of the UK's ‘happiest' regions will be published annually under prime minister David Cameron's plan to expand Whitehall measurements of wellbeing beyond economic benchmarks.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has told The MJ it will publish annual regional breakdowns of responses to a ‘life satisfaction' survey, which will attempt to measure how happy citizens are with their lives.
