Local government’s biggest trade union, Unison, will not be forced to re-run a controversial ballot to elect its general secretary.

Local government's biggest trade union, Unison, will not be forced to re-run a controversial ballot to elect its general secretary.

The Assistant Certification Officer (ACO) – an independent post which oversees complaints against trade unions – this week published a 114-page decision covering claims that the re-election of general secretary Dave Prentis in 2015 was flawed.
