A third of social workers regularly work unpaid overtime in order to keep local authority services going, a new study by the GMB trade union has found.

A third of social workers regularly work unpaid overtime in order to keep local authority services going, a new study by the GMB trade union has found.

Research released by the GMB today showed that other local government-related staff – including librarians and teaching assistants - also regularly work unpaid hours.
