Contributions to the Scottish Government's consultation on an independence referendum must be submitted by midnight tonight, interested parties have been reminded.

As the deadline for submissions fast approaches, it has been revealed that 19,000 responses to the consultation have already been submitted in Scotland. A UK government consultation that ended in March also attracted 3,000 submissions.
