Senior officials have helped to ensure that services at Harrow LBC have not been destabilised by the authority's troubled politics.

Sources at the borough in north-west London this week revealed that individual portfolio directors have intensified oversight of key services following the political turmoil that has left the council with a Cabinet comprised of just six voting members.
