Over recent months, districts have all been responding to a batch of government consultations, and I have been reminded of the breadth of experience and knowledge available to help shape national policies.

This is an important element of what we offer as district councils, especially as we are often able to promote practical issues from a local standpoint, while identifying matters which will need to be resolved to maximise the success of future government plans.
