Surrey CC has issued an apology for failings in its Prevent programme after the Parsons Green tube bomber was convicted of attempted murder.

The council has begun a full review of its Prevent strategy after officials were criticised for failing to help de-radicalise Ahmed Hassan before he partially exploded a bomb on London's tube network during rush hour in September.
