By 2030 the UN wants all new cases of female genital mutilation (FGM) to be eliminated across the globe. It's an impressive ambition, and one Barnardo's supports.

FGM affects 200 million-plus girls and women across the world. The scale of the issue here in the UK is only now beginning to emerge due to recent changes to recording and reporting of FGM cases.
