Union slates 'hollow' promises on NHS reform

Unite have urged David Cameron to act upon criticisms emerging from the Health and Social Care Bill’s listening exercise.

Worker's union Unite has warned that David Cameron's pledges of loyalty to the NHS will be futile if criticisms of the Health and Social Care Bill's listening exercise are not acted upon.

Commenting in response to a speech due later, in which the prime minister will attempt to galvanise support for NHS health reforms, the Union has warned that promises to keep waiting lists low are an ‘insult' to thousands of people already facing an 18-week wait since the scrapping of waiting time commitments.
