Widening the community infrastructure levy (CIL) to alleviate financial pressures on public sector services could jeopardise crucial infrastructure development, according to the British Property Federation.

Widening the community infrastructure levy (CIL) to alleviate financial pressures on public sector services could jeopardise crucial infrastructure development, according to the British Property Federation.

Concerns have been raised over such proposed changes in the Localism bill, as funding for CIL revenues directed towards projects such as new roads, schools and hospitals could be slashed.
