Social care services need to become ‘more flexible’ to ensure an ‘effective and integrated urgent and emergency care system,’ the Department of Health has been told.

Social care services need to become ‘more flexible' to ensure an ‘effective and integrated urgent and emergency care system,' the Department of Health has been told.

A report by the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) suggested the need for emergency admissions could be reduced by ‘ensuring that social care professionals are accessible as and when needed'.
