WLGA defends Cardiff planned interim post

The WLGA has offered to fund the recruitment of Sir Peter Rogers as interim chief executive at Cardiff City Council.

The Welsh Local Government Association has offered to fund the recruitment of Sir Peter Rogers as interim chief executive at Cardiff City Council because its own peer review team recommended an overhaul at the authority.

Sir Peter is likely to be appointed as Cardiff's interim chief from July when the council's cabinet meets on 27 June. Cardiff's current chief, Jon House, will leave at the end of the month to join PricewaterhouseCoopers.
