Far-right extremists now account for almost half of people referred to a national intervention programme.

Sara Khan, who heads the Government's counter-extremism commission, highlighted the rise of right-wing extremism in a speech at a Local Government Association event in Leeds yesterday, and spoke of councils' ‘vital' role in tackling it.
