Senior officers at Birmingham City Council have rejected a trade union's claims their reports have been ‘inflammatory, defamatory and inaccurate'.

The council's Labour cabinet confirmed today that it had accepted an offer from the union to resume ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service)-led talks over its industrial dispute with waste collection workers.
