Councils receive £68m brownfield funding

The Government has announced 54 councils will receive a share of £68m from the Brownfield Land Release Fund.

The Government has announced 54 councils will receive a share of £68m from the Brownfield Land Release Fund.

It is aimed at covering costs such as decontamination, clearing disused buildings or improving infrastructure such as internet, water and power to enable 5,200 homes to be built.
