Cyber attack hits Electoral Commission

Information held by the Electoral Commission was accessed by 'hostile actors,' the watchdog has revealed.

The Electoral Commission has been hit by a Cyber attack, the watchdog has revealed.

It was obliged to announce the ‘complex cyber-attack' - identified in October last year - under data protection regulations.
